Our mission is in Mexico:
along the Texas/Coahuila border
& in the states of Yucatán & Quintana Roo on the Yucatán peninsula,
and in Honduras:
in the village of Copan Ruinas.
Mexico and southern USA
Our work sites in the Yucatán are almost directly south of New Orleans and Mobile; the work sites in the state of Coahuila are just a few hours drive from San Antonio, Texas.
Casa Mano Amiga is located in Piedras Negras, Coahuila and provides a temporary, secure shelter for the homeless as well as longer-term housing for unskilled workers while they are trained. Mano Amiga helps build vocational skills that allow willing workers an opportunity for better jobs.

Work sites in the Yucatán include, Mérida, Chelem, Chuburná, Sierra Papacal and Cosgaya. Work sites in Quintana Roo are currently limited to Isla Mujeres. Both the Yucatán and Quintana Roo have tropical climates and an abundance of bananas, coconuts, papayas, sugar cane and limes.

Travel books
Just a short boat ride north of Isla Mujeres is Isla Contoy, a nature preserve and national park. Our workers sometimes take a day at the end of their trip for some rest and relaxation on Contoy enjoying snorkeling, sunning and the surroundings.
